Santa Fe, Prescott & Phoenix Ry Employee Timetables: 1893-1921

The Santa Fe, Prescott & Phoenix Railway was incorporated in May 1891, and built to service the populace and mining communities of Central Arizona, later becoming an intricate part of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway in Arizona. At Ash Fork it connected with the Atlantic & Pacific Railroad (AT&SF subsidiary) and extended south 196 miles through Prescott to Phoenix (this segment nicknamed the Peavine), and included a handful of branch lines (P&E Jct to Middleton, Poland Jct to Poland, Phoenix to Mesa).

Available for the first time is this CD format collection of rare SF,P&P Ry employee timetables covering the period 1893 to 1921, when trackage came under jurisdiction of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Ry Coast Lines: Albuquerque and Arizona Divisions. Also included are two rare Phoenix Division timetables. Data includes station names with train schedule, train numbers, classes and service facilities, side track capacity, telegraph call letters, and more. There are about 80 timetables in this nearly complete collection. They are professionally and beautifully reproduced in color and in the original archival state, some include actual penned in notes of the day. The CD collection provides a valuable tool to research the history of this railroad. A must for historians and railfans alike.
